Terms of Service
Last updated October 23, 2026
These terms cover your use of Pi Lite, a service of Project Pi Labs ("Pi Lite", "we", "us"): the website, the key generator, the Pi Lite deposit contract, validator hosting, and the Pi Lite Home presale. By using any of them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Pi Lite.
1.What Pi Lite is
Pi Lite runs PulseChain validators. You can have us host your validators on our servers ("Hosted by us"), or buy a Raspberry Pi that runs a validator at your home ("Pi Lite Home"). Pi Lite is a technical service. It is not a bank, an exchange, an investment product or financial advice, and nothing on this site is a promise of returns.
2.Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these terms. You may not use Pi Lite if you are barred from doing so by the laws that apply to you, or if you are on a sanctions list. Pi Lite Home ships to addresses in the United States only.
3.Your wallet, your deposit, your rewards
Your validator's withdrawal address is the wallet you choose when your keys are made. It is written into your keys and cannot be changed. Your 32,000,000 PLS deposit is held by the PulseChain network, not by us, and voting rewards and your deposit can only ever be paid to that withdrawal address. We never hold your deposit or your voting rewards.
You are responsible for your wallet, your recovery phrase, your keystore files and your keystore password. We cannot recover any of them for you.
4.Key generation
Our key generator creates your validator keys, recovery phrase and deposit file using the official PulseChain staking deposit tool, run on our key server. Your recovery phrase passes through that server's memory while the keys are made. It is never written to disk, never logged and never kept: the files are deleted from memory after you download them. Write your recovery phrase down and keep it safe. Anyone with it controls your validators.
5.Deposits and the Pi Lite deposit contract
Deposits are sent from your wallet through the Pi Lite deposit contract on PulseChain (0xB6C2F03f3cF1646c3cBf89A87726027792a7021F), which forwards every PLS to the official PulseChain deposit contract in the same transaction, with your withdrawal address. The contract has no owner and no administrator, and it never holds funds. Deposits are final and cannot be reversed by anyone, including us. A validator becomes active only after the network processes its deposit, which can take hours or longer.
6.Hosting
When you host with us, you give us your keystore files and their password so our servers can run your validators. You must stop your keys on every other machine first. Running the same keys in two places at once can get a validator slashed, which takes part of its deposit. We wait before signing with new keys to check they are not running elsewhere, and we stop if they are, but you remain responsible for not running them elsewhere.
Validators can miss votes or be penalized because of downtime, network conditions, software faults or events outside our control. We work to keep validators online, but we do not guarantee uptime, rewards or any particular result, and we are not responsible for penalties, missed rewards or slashing, except as required by law.
7.Fees and block tips
Hosting is billed per wallet, by the number of validators it has hosted with us: 1 to 5 validators are free; 6 to 10 cost $2 a month; 11 to 15 cost $4 a month; 16 to 49 cost $5 a month. These are flat amounts for the whole wallet. Wallets with 50 or more validators are hosted under a separate written agreement.
Hosting is paid in advance for a term of 1, 3 or 6 months, in PLS sent from your wallet to the Pi Lite fee collector (0x28E7Cee93c710A89E2C6c55bAce59430079da3f2), at the PLS price shown at checkout, which is based on PulseX market prices. All validators on a wallet share one end date. Adding validators during a term costs only the difference between tiers for the days left. Fees are not refunded, including when you exit early.
For every validator we host, the fee recipient is set to the Pi Lite fee collector. That means the block tips (transaction priority fees and any other execution-layer rewards) from blocks your validators propose are paid to Pi Lite. This is part of our compensation in every tier, including the free tier. Voting rewards are not affected and always go to your withdrawal address.
8.Terms, renewal and automatic exit
You can renew at any time, for up to 6 months ahead. If your term ends and you have not renewed within 7 days, you authorize us to submit a voluntary exit for every validator on that wallet. Exiting is permanent: an exited validator can never be restarted. After the network processes an exit, your deposit and remaining balance are paid automatically to your withdrawal address, which usually takes about a day or more.
We may also exit hosted validators, with notice where we reasonably can, if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, if hosting them would harm our systems or other customers, or if we stop offering hosting. In each case your deposit still returns only to your withdrawal address.
You can exit any validator yourself from your dashboard at any time once the network allows it (a validator must be active for about a day before it can exit).
9.Pi Lite Home presale
The presale sells a Raspberry Pi 5 (4 GB) kit set up to run a PulseChain validator: 64 GB for $299, 128 GB for $350, and a PulseChain edition case for $50 more. The first batch is limited to 25 units. Prices are paid in PLS at the PLS price shown at checkout. Shipping is free to United States addresses, insured and tracked.
We ship within 30 days of your order. If we cannot, you may cancel and we will refund the same amount of PLS you paid, to the wallet you paid from. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the package is delivered to the carrier for shipment to you; we file and pass on any carrier insurance claim for a lost or damaged package. The hardware carries its manufacturers' warranties; we make no other hardware warranty except as required by law.
Paying for Pi Lite Home in PLS includes 3 months of a Pi Lite private RPC (Basic) for that device, starting when it is delivered. After that it renews at the regular RPC price if you choose.
10.Acceptable use
Do not misuse Pi Lite: no attacks on our systems, no attempts to access other people's data or validators, no reverse engineering of our services or software beyond what the law allows, no automated abuse, and no use for anything illegal. We may suspend access for misuse.
11.Taxes
You are responsible for any taxes on your rewards, deposits, exits and purchases. Sales tax may be added where required.
12.Our software and content
Pi Lite, its software, its methods and this site are owned by Project Pi Labs. These terms give you the right to use the service, not any ownership of it. Open-source components keep their own licenses.
13.Disclaimers
Pi Lite is provided "as is" and "as available". Blockchains, validators, wallets and PLS carry real risks, including loss of value, network failures, software bugs and changes to the PulseChain protocol. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
14.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Project Pi Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost rewards, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Pi Lite is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
15.Indemnity
You agree to cover Project Pi Labs's losses and reasonable costs from claims arising out of your breach of these terms or your misuse of Pi Lite.
16.Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will show it on this site before it takes effect; continuing to use Pi Lite after that means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.
